Identifying Reliable Sources and Citing Them

This site is really a good help going to college because it tells you but also breaks down how to check the internet for research. You can’t just Google something and pick the first site you see because that site might not be legitimate. Do your homework on the site first before you try and throw just anything into a paper it could have been a site put up yesterday by a kid. So without checking the background of it before you move forward you will never know. In the long run it will help you and save you a lot of time in college but also in the real world, working or doing whatever checking a website is always a good thing to try and do first. Before I used to Google everything and whatever comes up I would just use it not knowing the difference. But since I heard the difference and how things are just put on the website with no history behind it I know check all my sources first before I post or turn in anything to my teachers. So word of advice stop just goggling thing take the extra time to check the background of the website that you are clicking on.
